Hi Lori & Everyone,

I'd been pretty sick-started around the 6th. It was pretty scary, but I'm a little better each day & can do just a little more each day. It's taking time to get my strength back up. Wasn't pneumonia (don't think), but it was something more than the flu. Started out with a cold & lots of achiness--then progressed to where it was hard to breathe & had some choking episodes. Couldn't eat either--just broth, drinking hot tea, & water. Sure couldn't drink very much coffee either!! If I hadn't started getting better soon, he was going to take me to the doctor whether I wanted to or not--or where we could pay for it or not. Breathing's just about completely back to normal now & no more choking episodes--just coughing sometimes & getting rid of congestion. It was very scary--but close to getting back the way I should be now--just have to rest when I feel the need & not overdo on anything.

Nope, didn't abandon anyone--just couldn't hardly sit up enough for a while to do much. Once I started getting better, I started tackling all the auctions that have gone out. Still some, but trying to get those in order again.

Lori, You take care of yourself--and Crys too! Guess the reason mine hung on longer is because my resistance must have been down quite a bit. If you go to Arkansas, enjoy yourself, Lori!!

Hugs to You Two!!

cheers Glad to see you come on and post! Yeah, the flu is worst than a head cold. You should pm me your phone number. I got an email from you a few days ago and thank you! When I seen that, I knew you were around! Are you on FB? If so, let me know!

Off to bed, have two GS cookie orders to deliver tomorrow.

Good night!

Thanks, Lori!! Yep, I couldn't resist sending that one & that was kind of my way to let people know that I was slowly coming back on again--just doing little bits at the time. Lori, I haven't been that sick since I had bronchitis about 6 or 7 years ago--was when we lived in Mayfield. But, the reason I was pushed into bronchitis was the fact that right before we moved out we found mold in the house. Must have been there before we ever lived there. But after we moved here, it cleared up before too long. This bad flu thing this time was just something that's been going around in different states. LOL, I'd be fine if my energy level was up to par--but that gets a little better each day too. Just have to quit doing things & rest when I feel the need to. Whatever this has been, it will really zap you & make you feel helpless for a while. Been drinking orange juice lately for more vitamin c.

No, I quit facebook almost 2 years ago--it just got to be too much & was constantly flooded with mail. I had relatives & friends on there, but was hard to get things done on the sites & work on the house too. Thought I'd given you my phone # before--LOL, I probably just thought I did. I'll send it to you thru the email system real quick. I don't have long distance, so all I can do is call local without a long distance card--but send your number to me too & when I can start getting things cleared up, we're going to get a phone card. Going to my gmail now.

It's good to be back in more of my normal mode on the sites!!

Hi Clap

Happy Sunday!!!

Got it Betty and thanks! If not too busy this week, I may give you a call for a few minutes not to wear my welcome out!! Hugs!

Got those cookies delivered and visited my friend. And another at grocery store.

Glad these cookies are narrowing down but have orders for more PB patties, oh well. More merits for Megan!

Hubby is making steaks on the grill, am hungry!

Don't forget we have two contests going on. Bid and Referral.

Hi Lori,

Good, I'm glad you got the phone number ok. Yep, that will be more merits for Meagan with those cookies. So glad today is a little warmer here. That helps me to feel even better now. I would imagine the weather's a little warmer there today too.

Probably won't be long before I have to do something with this computer screen. For a long time now, I have to sit & keep working with the on & off button before the screen stays on. Sometimes it takes only about 30 minutes, & other times it takes over an hour for it to come on & stay on. Then if I'm doing something else in the house, I have to come back in here & click on the screen about every 15 or 20 minutes or it goes out--then it's the same process all over again. For some reason, it's hard to get a matching screen on a computer that's several years old. Seems like they fix you up where you have to wind up buying the whole computer again--most of the time.

See ya later!!

Hi Clap

Going to have to shut down the computer. We have had winds in excess of 50 mph--and it's only going to get worse this afternoon they say. We're under a tornado watch till 6 pm. Electric has flickered, got 1 big branch down that I know of--and needless to say some trash has been blowing in our yard. Also some boards we've got up on parts of the garage are blowing side to side now. Just a little bit ago, a woman was coming out of Toys R Us here in Paducah--and the wind caught the glass door & just shattered it. Hope to see you all sometime later on.

I Pray that all of us in the path of these storms will be safe.

Yes, around Maryville & Henryville is where some of hubby's cousins live--but we haven't heard anything from anyone. We would have heard if they were injured or even worse. Glad Pam's ok. The woman that lives caddy cornered across the street from us had damage. It tore some shingles off the garage & split a spruce tree in half--from the top on down. We had some heavy branches down--tore some wood of the side & front of our garage--and tons of trash in our back yard from the neighbors next door with the dogs that act like they've never seen us after several years!! They guy next door said he was going to come over & pick all that up--but not holding our breaths. He might decide to clean up next week or next month--not having that trash in our yard for a month!!

Tornado was sighted here & there's been some damage in the city & outside of the city--but nothing like what has happened in more of the central & eastern parts of Kentucky & Indiana. Not sure if the tornado touched down or not. Oh--just heard on tv that 37 have been reported dead all together. They also just said that 19 were dead in Kentucky. Our city just had damage here & there that I know of--but Crys, it was still so scary. Yesterday was lots worse than Wednesday was--and that was bad enough. I always think about Mom & Daddy's home being destroyed in April 79 from a tornado--& my Great Aunt & Uncle's home a few miles down the road. Both my Mom & Great Aunt was put in the hospital--Mom stayed a week & Aunt Odie had to stay a month. Winds exceeded 60 mph yesterday--and with those winds like that, it's hard to know exactly if it was the winds or a tornado touching down that did the damage. But, a tornado was sighted here--those sirens during bad weather is so very scary.

My youngest Son & his Family in Mayfield are ok, & my brother that lives here is too--this was all around. Seems like the damaging winds, hail, & tornadoes just swept thru Ky from West (where we are) to the east. We had dime sized hail & rain during some of that time. Could have been lots worse.

My Prayers go out to the victims' families & friends. Prayers also for everyone that was injured or lost their homes. But, most property can be replaced--life can't.

Perfect timing! I just told Mike we needed to call you when I got an email notification of this post.

I am just glad you are all ok. And pray you hear from his family soon. I know how scary it was, I was in it too, and so was Pam. IDK on anyone else so far though. Have yet to talk to Lori but I think she's too far north to have been affected.

Hang in there and thank God you are all ok! Love you!
